MGM Hospital — Established 1963, Warangal
Est. 1963

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Hospital, Warangal was established in 1963 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh (now Telangana) as the premier public healthcare institution for the Warangal region and entire North Telangana.

Named in honour of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, the hospital has grown from a modest facility into a 1,450-bed tertiary care referral centre that provides free and subsidised healthcare to millions of patients from Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad and surrounding districts.

Affiliated to Kakatiya Medical College (KMC), established in 1959, MGM Hospital serves simultaneously as a premier teaching hospital, training hundreds of undergraduate and postgraduate medical professionals every year.

Over six decades, it has evolved from a general district hospital to a full-fledged multi-specialty tertiary teaching hospital under the Government of Telangana, recognised for its emergency trauma services, Aarogyasri cashless care, organ transplant facilities, and advanced diagnostics.

Vision

Where we are going

Doctor looking forward with vision
Building a healthier Telangana, one patient at a time

"To be the most trusted, accessible and technologically advanced public tertiary healthcare institution in Telangana — delivering equitable, compassionate and world-class medical care to every citizen regardless of economic status."

Our vision is rooted in the belief that quality healthcare is a fundamental right, not a privilege. We aspire to bridge the gap between cutting-edge medical science and the rural communities that need it most.

We envision a hospital where every ward operates at international standards, every patient leaves healthier and more informed, and every student and doctor grows into a compassionate, skilled healer.
